The Queen hopes for Wales arrival before Scotland departure!

We’ve had a couple of hints about the royal baby’s due date in the last day or two! The Duchess of Cornwall has been on a visit to the Duchy of Cornwall with her husband, Prince Charles, and while on a walk-about commented to a well-wisher “We are all just waiting by the telephone. We are hopeful that by the end of the week he or she will be here.”

The Queen seems to agree with the sentiment- caught on television cameras on a visit to Cumbria, Queen Elizabeth was asked by a young girl if she would like the royal baby to be a boy or a girl. Her Royal Highness was heard to reply: “I don’t think I mind. I would very much like it to arrive. I’m going on holiday.”

Buckingham Palace reports that the Queen will soon be heading off to Balmoral, in Scotland, where she traditionally spends her summer holiday, and is obviously keen to meet her new great-grandchild before packing her flip-flops.
